Default FWD Struggles....

I love my bonne. I love the sleeper look, I love the super charger whine, I love the stereo, the leather, and the list goes on and on. HOWEVER(!), I took a 97 Trans-Am for a spin, LT-1, 6spd, and RWD!!! I MISS RWD!!!! How does everybody cope with the lack of rear drive action? Punching it and havin' to correct the drift , smoke comin' from the correct wheel wells (I'm gonna catch flak from that one, I know it), plus the fact that pretty much every RWD tranny will endure a little more abuse than the 4T65 HD'*.

Alas, I will survive. Someday I will have money for a RWD sports car. Maybe with an L67

Now you know why I have kept my Firebirds.

I feel in much better control when sliding with the tail hanging out in a power drift with a RWD than in a FWD pulling around the corner.

This is why I still have 2 trucks. Not only because they're cool and I like mud ridin, but because they are both RWD. Now I just need a 4x4 and the collection will be complete.

And you all wonder why I cast off my 1992 Buick LeSabre for my 1983 Pontiac Bonneville and my 1990 Chevy K1500

I would rather be pulled than pushed. I, personally, like FWD. Most of the cars I've owned had FWD. When I lived in Chicago I had some RWD and they didn't help me as much as FWD in the winter months.

I agree with Tracy. Sure, RWD has advantages, but not where I live very often. Knowing the FWD is there for handling/steering/traction in bad conditions is a great feeling.

RWD would be a seasonal toy for me.
