Now I can understand that. Two summers ago I got stuck behind a line of traffic that was going ~10mph in a 55. I couldn't see what the hold up was, but I found out when I saw a trooper fly by and pull the guy over. When I drove past I saw that his tire had gone flat and he just kept going. The tire had completely shredded off and tore up the quarter panel. There was almost nothing left of the rim when I drove by. Considering the amount of traffic that got stuck behind him on a country road, I'd say he had been going for a while.
But you can't get mad when people slow down when the roads are actually bad. I slow waaayyyy down when the roads are bad and I have my family in the car. And it seems like every yahoo who has a truck has 0 disregard for anyone elses safety. They have no problem with tailgating and blasting past at 10 over the limit. I have no reservation about calling 911 on such people, so make sure you're not that guy.

LOL.. retards in 4x4'*.. . there'* a lot of merit to that comment.
Yeah, I have a 4x4, it'* a full sized Silerado with extended cab, 8 foot bed and the tow package. What most people don't realize is why so many 4x4'* end up in accidents and ditches. It'* not the getting moving that'* a problem, it'* stopping. The extra axle, transfer case and goodies weigh a lot. All that added momentun on the same basic tires that everyone has equals a big fail when trying to stop on snow etc. Add in wider bigger tires and you exponentially increase the fail.
I have a 4x4 and understand exactly what having one does for me. Ground clearnance
Abilty to get moving easier
Increased stopping distance
