Yup, never owned one, but i know how. My dad said it might come in handy one day to know how, and what do you know, i work in a shop specializing in standards 3speed rear wheel drive car tranys all the way to 18 speed Eaton Fuller Heavy Truck transmissions capable of 2000 ft.lbs of torque.
Also comes in handy when a Large truck needs to be moved and im the only person at the shop, wanna shot gun lesson in figuring out Low Range and High Range plus splitting your shifts?

Mastered it huh? Can you take off from a dead stop going uphill without killing the engine or burning up the clutch?
I think all driving tests should be given in a 3/4 ton farm truck with no power steering and a granny gear 4 speed. I used to think that is what everyone learned to drive in. Then I found out some people never actually learn how to drive, their driving strategy consists of just perpetually trying to keep from wrecking.
If it was sink or swim, everyone left could swim.

Learned how to drive in a big Ford with a 4spd behind a 300ci inline 6.
My first car was a 89 Probe LX with a 5spd, and I've got a 5spd Dodge Shadow waiting for a rebuild.
On a realted note, Fuel also mastered the stick recently, in his Dad'* old Ranger.

I'm no master at working a clutch but I'm pretty good. I taugh myself on my old Yamaha 700cc a few years ago, I've picked up a few tricks since then. . Now most of the clutch action I get is on the CAT tow motor at work 4 cylinder propane with 2 speeds 
boy is that thing a POS. I would enjoy having another car that has a 5-6 spd for weekends.

I had a '91 Isuzu pickup. It was a 5-speed. Was pretty fun to drive, actually. It had steering by arm-strong though... That wasn't fun... lol
