press the "prtscn" button, then paste it into your favorite image editing program.

You hit the Print Screen button on the top right hand side of your keyboard and then paste into microsoft word.

Wordpad may work as well IIRC

My "Print Screen" button is right next to F12 and I use MS Paint.

Press PRNT SCRN, its located above the "num lock" button to the left of the "scroll lock" button.

If you just want the active window, press Control - Alt - Print Screen....or use SnagIt.
