Should I try and run the Broad Street Run?
On May 4th there is a 10 Mile run that is held on Broad Street from North Philly to South Philly.
I use to run X-Country back in H.*. (6 years ago) and I always suffered through lower back problems.. Over the past year I've gotten my abs and back strengthen up and I started running agian.
I started with 2 miles and ran that a couple times a week for a few weeks, then 2 weeks ago I ran 3.5, and last week I was able to do 5 miles in about 50 mins.
I really just want to see if I can finish it.
So.. Think I should give it a shot?

Go for it.... there is only one way to find out how happy you are you did it. Not to mention the drive it will give you to continue keeping in top physical shape as well as helping to build a healthy lifestyle, not only for yourself, but hopefully inspiring others as well.
95nsta is describing my habit'* through HS and my first round of college and you are describing me currently. Well, up until last week. Finally got myself doing 1 hour (daily of push-ups, sit-ups and curls with 35# dumbell for the past week.
Some running on the trail that'* 300' feet from my house will start next week when I pick up a good pair of running shoes and insoles.

Hahaha. Yeah I was hoping for the your nuts if you don't responce.
I'm about 99% sure I'm going to do it.
I'll push myself a little harder this week and next. If my back agrees then I'm definitely doing it.
Thanks for the encouragement and no doubt a couch and chips will be in order after.
I'm more terrified of North Philly. It'* a little more wild up there.
It'* nice though the entire 10 mile strip of road is blocked off for the run. (with police )
