Should I buy it??
I was wondering if I could get some advice as to whether or not it would be worth it to buy this car.

I'd like to know why he spent 2800 for a new tranny. I know he didn't spend like 1600 just in labor.

If you read the text, the seller is up front that it had been in a wreck before he/they got it. It'* still a decent project car for someone with some time, a little extra money to put into it, and repair know-how, IMO.
Edit: Mike, more than one person here has spent in the area of $2800 for a complete HD tranny rebuild. I'm not saying it'* a "good" deal, but it doesn't appear to be out of the ballpark either.
