Shopping today at Walmart
So I had my engine steam cleaned yesterday, and today I set out to find the legendary CD2 Engine Detailer. First stop: Pep Boys. -They didn't have it. Second stop: Kragen. -They didn't have it. Third stop: phone call to Autozone. -They didn't have it. Fourth stop: phone call to NAPA. -They didn't have it. So forget all of them, I'll order the stuff online and be done with it.
But on a whim, I went to Walmart (they didn't have it either), which I NEVER EVER EVER shop at. I'm sorry, because I know there'* some Walmart shoppers on the club here, but I just never shop there. Too crowded, too much stuff from China, I just can't take it. But it was the middle of the day today, so there was no crowd.
What I did find out was this: A spray bottle of Simple Green at Pep boys was $6.99. At Kragen it was $5.99. At Walmart it was $3.97. I also got some cheap made-in-China drip pans for the GE electric stovetop range burners. You have to get the right ones for your stovetop, either the ones with the hole for the burner element, or the ones with a bite out of the side of it for the burner element. Ours uses the hole, and I always have to get them special at an appliance store where they're expensive, but at Walmart I got a complete set for just $8.97. BARGAIN! WOOT!
Consider me enlightened.
/they still didn't have the CD2. How come nobody carries it?

Re: Shopping today at Walmart
Wal mart is cheap... shopping there isn't as bad as some make it out to be. An educated consumer always wins.
I'd rather pay less for the same product and put what I saved in a savings account myself.
