Default Got a new toy.

Couldn't help myself. President'* day sale and my employee discount combined took this down to $109. My old one is tired, and doesn't have a preview screen (photosmart100, first in the series. I won it in a raffle at work years ago).

This little sucker comes in handy at meets. I typically check out a couple from work for use during WCBF at the KOA, but this time I think I'll just bring my own. It can go to the dragstrip with us, cuz I'm thinking about getting the battery also. 4x6 and 5x7 paper, too.

Too cool with the stylus and touchscreen to add captions and other embarrassing attributes to pics right before printing. Imagine the fun we can have with this.

Put one-touch printing at your fingertips with the HP Photosmart A626 Compact Photo Printer. It sports a cool, 4.8", color touch screen that you can use with a stylus or on-screen keyboard for editing photos. Plus you can add creative touches with an abundant supply of album layouts, frames, graphics, and effects.
The magic touch
Easily view photos and navigate menus with the spacious, 4.8" color touch screen
Do slide shows on the screen and print individual shots by simply touching them
Print directly from a memory card 1, PictBridge-enabled camera, or PC
Print wirelessly from Bluetooth-enabled devices2
Print at parties, family gatherings, and at home; immediately pass around your favorite pictures with the optional rechargeable battery3
Remove red eye, slim subjects, and enhance images, all without a computer
Immediately pass around your snaps without smudging or smearing4

Fun cards and gifts
Draw or write captions on photos with the stylus or on-screen keyboard; add personal stories
Get creative: make photos "scrapbook-ready" and design unique greeting cards using more than 200 borders, graphics, frames, and effects
Print without borders—no trimming necessary
Preserve your memories for generations 5 with the lab-quality printing that resists fading

Any rough estimate on the price per print it works out to? Paper/ink expense?

Is that with the current President'* day sale, or did it end? The battery price is pretty low right now too.

I just checked. President'* day sale is still going on. Your discount may not be as deep when it ends. Not bad though. You got within 5 bucks of me.

We have 'channel partners'. I get the same discounts at Sony as they get from HP.
