Default Wiper help...

I need help troubleshooting a wiper problem I am having. The reason it is posted in the lounge is that the problem is on my '81 F-150.

So here is the siuation. The wipers work intermitantly. One day they will, and the next they won't (wore won't than will). Today I tried them and the wipers moved about an inch before quiting. Usually they will go for a while before quiting. If I switch them on and off quickly it sometimes makes them stop.

Turning the truck on and off has no effect. Disassembling the switch and reassembling has no effect. Washer fluid spray on the same switch always works. No fuses are ever blown. The only thing that has really seemed to work consistantly is time. The longer I wait the better the chances it will work for at least a little bit.

I was hopeing to veriy what the problem is before I go and start throwing parts at it. I am not going to pay to have the truck looked at (got it for a "project truck" so I can learn mechanics). I don't want to spend money at parts that won't fix it either.

Any one have any ideas? :?
