Too dang hot!!!!
My a/c went out in the house yesterday and I am hoping the a/c man will get here tomorrow!! It is 91* in here now and I've got 2 big fans at each end of the living room and the ceiling fan. How many cool showers can a person take in a day???
I pray it doesn't cost me a fortune but it is something that I have to have. I keep trying to think cool thoughts and am drinking lots of water and some gatorade.

I work in another town from where I live. I'm sure the guy I insure would gladly come see me but his wife may not appreciate it whether its business or not.

I'm sure you checked the breaker? We had ours "quit" in July a couple of years ago, we knew it was just about on its last legs and feared the worst. When I got home that evening, I started poking around with it, found a tripped breaker. Cool air resumed. Lasted the rest of the season.

It isn't the circuit breaker. I just had the guy out a month or so ago for a recharge. He told me about 2 years ago I had a pinhole leak and would eventually have to replace the "A" coil??? It completely froze over the night before last. I was going to bed around 3 am and went to bump it down to 75* and heard this weird pop and I checked out the unit and it was freezing up. I shut it off and then had my dad look at it Saturday. He said to turn it on and see what happened. Around 2 pm I checked the register and it was blowing slightly cool air. I checked the unit and it was almost completely frozen over.
Dang it dang it dang it!!! This couldn't have happened at a worse time. I don't think the guy takes credit cards so I have to find the money quickly.

Probably too late now since the AC guy is coming today, but when ours finally croaked, and before we got the new installed, I went to wal mart and picked up a little window shaker, like 70 bucks. It will at least keep a 12x12 room tolerable. I ended up getting 2 more a day later while we were getting all our duck$$$ in a row to get new AC. Ended up using them 2 months.
