Kevlar or Carbon-Kevlar?
Which is stronger? The Carbon-Kevlar is Kevlar and Carbon threads intertwined. Im guessing Carb-Kev but I dont know for sure. Anyone?

Pure Kevlar is more of a fabric, albeit it will get stif if it'* thick. The main drivers in my home audio speakers are Kevlar, and they're a beauty...
Carbon Fibre uses kevlar in it for the weave. It'* generally more of a harder compound like plastic.
EDIT: they're really 2 different kinds of compounds, one can be used as vests, one as complex shapes for car bodies, bicycles, etc.

It is probably a situation where the combination of the two makes it stronger, perhaps lighter, and perhaps lends other properties. In other words, even if it isn't stronger to combine carbon and kevlar, the gains accross a wider spectrum of traits makes it an advantage to do so.

Yea I figured plain old kevlar would be best because carbon alone definitely isnt bullet proof unless its carbon steel but thats a different story. Thanks for the help guys!
