Looks like I may have a job.
Don't have the final word on the hire, but I went in for an interview today, and they called back to tell me to go and get the pre-hire drug test and my DOT physical. They also said to show up at 7am tomorrow morning!
The place is UST Environmental. Most of what they do is clean-up and remediation work.
I'd be driving a lowboy trailer towing equipment, and also doing drum collection runs in a box truck. I'd also be doing hump work at the work sites.
Once I get my 40-hour course done, I could start doing hot-zone work(acid spills and other more dangerous chemical contaminations), as well as getting rated for enclosed-space work with respirators.
Tomorrow will be my second interview, and if that goes well, I start training immediately.
Wish me luck.

It'* about time, you had it coming. I know guys that do what you do in environmental stuff here (HP contracts wtih Clean Harbors). Not a bad job at all.
