biotch!! Last night our computer showed the "black screen of death" according to Jeff.

My home computer crashed and is in surgery right now. The guy said that Windows crashed completely but he could fix the computer and save all of our stuff and will only charge $65 for the work. He said he can install some type of virus prevention that would be really good to use for an additional $25 but I don't have that money right now. Jeff is handling this stuff for me and I told him to ask the guy if we could bring it back next week to have that added. This week'* money is already accounted for

yes, but when you don't have a computer to access it is hard to post something unless I'm at work. You should have seen Jeff- he had BC withdrawals BAD!!! I thought I was going to have to restrain him and slap him back into reality. LOL
I told Jeff to have the guy install the software to protect it. I figure f**k it, at least this way I won't have to worry so much. Hopefully she will be back and running tonight.

Thanks. Jeff just called and the guy wasn't able to recover anything. All the pictures are gone, all the documents saved are gone. He is going to buy something so we can back up the system so this won't happen again. I was working on a book and all my stuff is gone! Dangit!!! Hopefully whatever protection he is putting in will help it. I had been running ad aware and spybot search & destroy (upgraded edition) and it didn't help.

Hmm...I recover and backup peoples computers for a living. I am sure could have recovered something. For the future buy one of those one touch external backupdrives. They are dirt cheap these days and a lifesaver to some.
