I've hit probably the lowest here Last year -42*c I felt bad, poor car, but called into work so had to go. I let it idle for 30 mins before leaving and the temp never did come up over @ 80*c (usually runs 90*c).
I have a block heater and leave it plugged in from Dec. to March.

Its not a Bonnie but this morning was the coldest I have ever started my STE. It was 5*F this morning when I started up my car. Started the first try, just like it would if it were 60*. I run 5W30 oil and try to keep my battery and alternator in top working order, so I am not usually that worried about it not starting. The SSEi gets a heated garage, so it starts fine in the morning, every morning, and during the day the engine doesn't cool down enough because the car is driven for most of the day.
However, when I got home from school today, my best friend was with me and as soon as we got to my house (from the career center we both attend) his GF called from our high school. They had just gotten out and some guy wanted her to help him jump start his car, but neither of them knew how to do it, and they didn't understand what I was telling them over the phone so my friend and I drove up to the school (since it is only 10 minutes away) and I did it for them...then they were like..oh, thats how you do it. I thought it was pretty funny. And then they were all like, "thanks Shawn, you're so smart!"
