i got a new dvd player
i got a new 5 disk dvd changer i got it for 179.99 and i love it. it sounds soo good looks good too.
pics(from crutchfield but its the same as mine)
just wanted to tell everyone.

nope didnt do that.but i use the *-video for just about all my videos stuff and its a good enought for me picture quality. but how much better is the component over *-video?

The TV manual will say if it supports progressive scan. But if you don't have it, component video will still give you a nice picture.
I got a Samsung DVD player and I had to return it because I accidentally set it up as using a higher video quality than I really was, so I couldn't change the setting back since I had no video. It'* a long story....big PITA.

Use the components; but don't spend $50 or more for the cable set. I got a GE set from Target for less than $30 and the picture is great. Also, if you TV has a simulated 16x9 mode you want to set your DVD player video output format to 16x9 (widescreen). Some TV'* will take the "wider" image, and compress it down to letterbox format, the advantage is (with tv'* that support the simulated mode) you get more lines of resolution being compressed and as a result a better picture. My TV (JVC) has this mode, and I know some Sony'* do as well.
