Tater Gun!
I just put together my biggest Spud Gun(TM) ever! My old one got dropped off a balcony(don't ask!) by one of my dumb-a$$ friends so I built a new one, chamber is 4" schedule-40 PVC, 22" long, barrel is 1-1/4" schedule-40, 54"long, and it'll blow a chunk of tuber about 250yds!
I'll post a vid as soon as I can find a host site!
Hey, Rogue, maybe I'll bring it to the next COCGP meeting!( That oughtta get us kicked out!) j/k

Jeez, malibuolds! tell your brother to watch it!! acetylane or straight propane can blow schedule-40 PVC sky high!!!!!
The guy who first showed me how to build Spud Guns(TM), damn near killed himself using natural gas! The chamber blew out around the igniter and left third-degree burns on his hand and the side of his torso.
I use either Aqua-Net or White Rain hairspray, and I get a hell of a BANG!!! for the buck!

yeah, the acetylene kinda scares me. i won't fire it unless with propane. he opens up a small bottle of propane full blast, then sticks it 6" into the chamber for 6 seconds, quickly pulls it out and screws the cap back on. i'm not sure what the ignitor is from but we 'flick' it with our thumb and middle finger; it'* not electric. golf balls are always used with a paper towel wad the gun is about 6 ft long altogether, i'm guessing the chamber is about 4in diameter by 15" long or so. that thing will send a golf ball thru a coffee can no problem. not sure on the range, it would be pretty tough to find that golf ball...it just disapears lol.

I build spudguns myself, but I favor pneumatic propulsion.
I've got one now that'll shoot an ice slug about 500 meters. To do that with combustion of the same physical size, you need a molar hybrid and a steel or aluminum gun to handle the detonation.
