Wine is better than Water
As Ben Franklin said: "In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in water there is bacteria."
In a number of carefully controlled studies, scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. coli) - bacteria found in feces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop.
However, we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer (or tequila, rum, whiskey or other liquor) because alcohol has to go through a purification process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.
Remember: Water = Poop, Wine = Health
Therefore, it'* better to drink wine and talk stupid, than to drink water and be full of ****.
There is no need to thank me for this valuable information: I'm doing it as a public service.

The only flaw in that theory is that we assume E.Coli=bad. E.Coli and other bacteria occur naturally in the human digestive system as a symbiotic relationships. Without this bacteria in our digestive system some of the nutrients we eat would be lost due to it being to complex for our cells to digest.
Secondly, even if we are ingesting 1kilo of E.Coli (seems high to me considering the size of an individual E.Coli and how many organisms we would then have to ingest to equal a single kilo its not the equivalent to 1 kilo of poop since bacteria is just a small portion of poop.
Sorry, had to...you may now all move on...
