Default Why I Love My Bonneville

Due to a recent post in Intros with all the replies, I wanna hear it from all of you...

Why do you love your bonneville? I already spelled it all out in my intros thread, so I'll just quote myself The rest of y'all, get typing!!! BONNIE PRIDE!!! I want to hear from Bonneville owners past, present, and future!

Made sticky in the Lounge so that as many people as possible see it

Why I Love My Bonneville

My Bonnie isn't new,
Lord knows she isn't fast.
But one thing that i DO know,
My car was built to LAST.

She'* taken crap from me
With nary a complaint.
Not to mention all the times
She has kept me from being late!

I always ride in comfort
Thanks to my velvet seats.
And everything works perfectly,
Down to A/C and heat!

The 305 is common and
Though maybe not the best,
You have to give props to
Parts cheaper than the rest

My car is nothing special,
This I surely know,
But when I really need her to,
Bonnie will get up and GO!

And when I'm on the highway,
That girl will really fly!!!
So if I have a say in it,
She'll be with me till I DIE.

Having someone offer you $6500 more for your car than it blue books for is NOT something to scoff at I've had several Pontiac collectors approach me. I even went to a car dealership when I was considering getting a second car...the sales guy tried to buy MINE!

Stats on the 83 Brougham
*Only a few thousand ever made (think: 4000)
*ONLY released in the United States
*Rare VINYL top with polished aluminum trim
*RARE stock hubcaps, I've seen a single one sell for several hundred dollars on EBay.

Also keep in mind that my car is now 21 years old, and has 56,000 miles on it

I love my car because i have all the pickup I'll ever need (keeps up surprisingly well with most cars), does everything I ask of her, and has the V8 POWER with a kitten'* purr Not to mention the VELVET easychair seats and suspension that rides like a cloud

No offense, but I'd take my car over yours any day. To anyone who knows their domestics, she really turns heads. I've had a Sunfire owner, a Hyundai owner, and a Honda owner ALL tell me that if they could have MY car, they'd give theirs up in a SECOND. My car is the rolling lounge

My Bonne was my first car, that in itself makes it special, it was a blast to drive for I took many road trips in her, one of the nicest, cleanest V6'* of that vintage on the road.

She turned heads. And still does

Long live RLD

I love to drive my bonnie! I've owned several nice cars in my lifetime but my bonnie has all the features I want, has the sportiness I like, she is comfortable to sit in and she can fly like the wind. I am totally content with her!

Plain and simple: The Bonneville looks good, it'* comfortable, and has enough power without being a V8 gas hog.

There are so many reasons, it'* hard to narrow it down:
1. It'* mine--end of story. I'm proud of the car I bought and the car I continue to take care of.
2. It'* safe. How many pics have we seen of bonnes that have been totalled where we just shake our heads in wonder that the drivers walked away? Just by it'* size and build it'* a safer car.
3. It'* quality. I'm not going to argue the age old arguement of American vs. Japanese cars, but I will say that outside of that arguement the car and the 3800 is proven quality.
4. It'* mature. Our cars will turn heads, but not in an "oh that'* gotta be a teenager" type way. The Bonne is style, luxury and class in a mature fun way.
5. Come on...just look at the siggy picture, how could you not love it??

I'm a car guy, so I like a majority of vehicles. The Bonneville is happy medium of qualities that I was looking for in a vehicle, styling, performance, luxury; while it doesnt excel in any one area it neither lacks in any either.

As for the Intro stuff, another one of the "tuner crowd" that showed what they really know about cars, nothing.
