Craig Ferguson & the Anniversary of 9/11
Did anybody else see Craig Ferguson'* comments about the anniversary of 9/11 on his show earlier tonight? I found him to have surprising depth and emotion about how the events of that day affected the United States and how we view ourselves and the rest of the world. His words were effective, to-the-point, and remarkably moving. I hope it will be posted somewhere on the internet in the next few days. It is my understanding that he has made speeches like this on past 9/11 anniversaries, but I have never been so lucky as to see one of them. In a world where it seems we have largely removed the tragedy from our daily consciousness, it'* nice to see that some folks in the popular media still find it important to remember how life changed that day.
Who would have thought that one of our greatest mainstream patriots would be a 45 year old Scottish late-night host? Well done, Craig. Well done.

That does not surprise me. I try to stay up to hear his monalogue every night, and have found him to always have a depth to his thoughts. I keep meaning to buy his book as I have heard it was on the best seller list.

Craig Ferguson is one of a kind in Late Night Talk Shows. I really respect him.
Unfortunately i didn't catch his monologue last night. But i usually try to watch it every night. He is not only hilarious, but he can talk from the heart too.
I'll keep my eye out on YouTube for it, usually his monologue'* end up on there.
