I read an article a number of years ago that discussed this very topic and predicted that the reality wasn't too far away.

Isn't that freaky how they just start magically working? Even the heart. It just started all on it'* own.

I thought they were working via machines they were connected to...like the blood vessel. It looked as if the machine was pulsing blood through the vessel causing it to contract.
