I have 2 cheap little Audiovox'*, and they've never let me down. The older one sometimes doesn't have enough juice for a long movie, but will work for most. The newer one, Audiovox D1708 (7" LCD) works flawlessly, and you'd have no complaints about the screen size on an airplane. It also has outputs and comes with the cables to hook to your hotel tv.
I don't use either much any more, as I usually have my laptop.

Plenty big. Especially sitting on the tray in front of you. Great sound with headphones, too. You could buy an airline charger kit, but that might be spendy. Or consider one that doesn't take rechargeables.

But then you need the airline charger again. And if HP doesn't buy it for you they can be kinda spendy.
Mine is a one-does-all. 90W AC/Air/Auto kit in a cute little hp bag.

Most. But I also have the expansion slot for an extra drive or batteries. With the extra battery, it doubles my time to 6-8 hours. Count on 6 that way with the DVD drive constantly running.

Looks like the right one. You'll use the primary battery for the first movie, and that for the second.
Using headphones will save some juice. It'* possible you'd get 3 movies out of the 2 batteries.
That player has all the same features as mine. MP3, CDR, JPG picture CD, etc. And the music mode lasts much longer, because you have the case closed and it'* not running the LCD screen.
That unit comes with both chargers, and all the cables, too. Looks like a great deal. The only thing I don't see is a remote. My Audiovox came with one.
