we are gonna have a G5 (successor to the Sunfire (Platform: Compact - Delta)) a G6 (successor to the Grand Am (Platform: Mid Size - Epsilon)) and the G8 (successor to the Grand Prix (Platform: Full Size - Zeta))...now all I want to know is...WHAT IS THE G FOR?

They sell quite a few here and its better looking the the Sunfire. All they need to do is SC it and its good to go.
Its girly but hey, they need to cruze as well.

Actually the cobalt and ion are not true rebagdes. While they may both reside on the same platform(Delta) the Cobalt have quite a bit of differences from the Ion. Main one Cobalt has steel panels while Ion has polymer panels. Also when the Cobalt came out it received quite a bit differnet rear suspension from the Ion.
P.*. I also read somewhere that the US G5 wasn't going to be getting the */C 2.0L just the 2.2L and 2.4L

Plus the ION has the quad-door system or whatever it'* called. And Logan, the ION has a different interior, at least when I drove them. Admittedly, I drove an 05 ION Redline and an 06 Cobalt SS (not supercharged :(), so it'* possible Saturn changed it for 06.
EDIT: Just checked both sites, the interiors are still different.

Actually the Ions do have different interiors from the Cobalt. First thing you would you notice is the center mounter gauges(people complain and howl about it but it is not really that bad) and also the grade of plastics is a lot lower in the Ions than the Cobalt.
