Default Dee dee dee....

So I have two kicker CVR12 subs hooked up to a 1000 watt 1-ohm American Bass amp. It'* the same subs circuit city throws in a box and label $399.99. Got it at a trade show (Gibraltar Trade Center for you MI ppl) in Mt. Clemens, MI for $160 including vented box, everything brand new.

I installed them like July after I got them and got back to PA. It sounded awesome, and I figured nothing was wrong. Well yesterday I went ahead and cleaned the car, and I decided to open the door into the back seat just to see if it made a sound difference and to see if I can get the damn rear deck to stop vibrating on the window. It'* doing it so hard now that it'* starting to peel the tint off. Anyway... I looked back in there, and one of the subs were unplugged lol. When I slid the box back into the seat when I installed it, a speaker wire got stuck underneath it and ripped out as I pushed it back. So since July, I've been runnin off of a single CVR12 :P.

Scary... they can hold up to a hell of a lot. I'm aware this amp can't pump 1000 watts to a single 4 ohm sub, but man I had that thing up pretty loud for a single sub, and it responded well. Ofcourse, hooking up the second sub made it hit MUCH harder, and much clearer, but for four months, I believed that one sub was two subs lol. Good product

Yeah... in a box. He wanted 130 for the subs, and 30 bux for a decent box isn't bad either. I was a bit skeptical, so I checked those subs out and looked at another set at another stand to make sure they weren't fake. Shh lol. They weren't remans or anything.
