Default I want to pick some brains

This is mechanical, but not Bonneville. It is G.M. related though.

1992 Chev Silverado 1500 PU

At exactly 60 kph the brake warning lights and ebrake light come on. (on the dash)

Ebrake switch, brake light switch and master cylinder low fluid warning system all check out OK.

Cruise control don't work. Could the two be related? Is there a CC modual that could be causing the problem?

I know I could join yet another forum to ask this question, but I'm here, I'm bored, and you guys and gals are so darn helpful.

So, any ideas?

My guess would be vacc booster or line is leaking.
What about the return spring on the e-brake foot pedal? Those get loose once in a while.

check the line thay goes from the intake to the booster and check the check valve. You might have a vaccume leak

Might be worth searching this forum.

I'm a member there. They're very helpful. You don't necessarily have to join. With 77,000 members I'm sure you'll find the answer searching the threads.

Thanks for the replies, I've checked the vac lines ebrake spring. The fact that the warning lights go on at the same time as the cruise control minimum speed is reached makes me think they are connected in some way.

I'll check out the fulsizechevy forum and see if I can find a solution, I haven't seen that one before. Too many forums to find them all without a referral. :?

Some cranky people on that forum.

Instead of posting a link to answer my question I got a lengthy post about the use of "search"

Then I found that "search" yielded dick all.

I like the set up of this forum much better. The tech articles are first class. That chev forum could use some lessons from here I think.
