There'* a difference between rice and imports...though, for my $$, they should all be in the same pile..the left hand corner of the scrap yard...

This is just an easy way for them(Govt.) to get more money. And it isnt directed torwards inports or domestic. It is more on banning aftermarket products being legal. Just like In Cali or Im sure anywhere else in the world, Everybody wants to cut down on street racing but no one is willing to make tracks for poeple to race or keep tracks open more often/longer so it does cut away on street racing. Cuz if they did this think about how much the govt., insurance, Policve dept, and so on would lose out.

Tamara..i dont think there is anything wrong with those cars allmaghtigue put up.. They are imports but they are bad ***. As long as you don't put a 7 inch muffler and a 3 foot wing..i think they are good cars. I guarantee they'd beat you!

Well...they can certainly try. But then again speed and performance only gets you so far, and there is only certain places you can use it and only certain times when it is important...actually, very little times when it'* really important to an extent.
I'd much rather have a car with moderate speed with really good safety ratings (such as the bonneville) and higher comfort and luxury ratings - such as the Bonneville. Hey, if people want to ride around in tin cans with plastic covers on the inside of the doors, that'* their choice...who am i to say what people should drive?

Ya, luxury, saftey and style...I'd take that over any 3 foot wing and lawnmower engine.

An Indy car can beat all the car listed... Do I drive that everyday.. no..
A dragster / top fuel funny car can beat all the listed.. do I drive that everyday.. no..
The BATMOBILE can beat all that... do I drive that everyday.. no..
The Shockley Shockwave Peterbuilt truck ( powered by 3 Pratt&Whitney jet engines from F/A-1 can beat all the car listed.. do I drive that everyday.. no....

Can some of those car beat a Bonnie.. yep... do I have to keep the revs above 4500 RPM in rush hour just to prove it'* better in a Bonnie... you're on better drugs.. not a lot of car will have the torque like a Bonnie nor luxury for the price.. nor the amount of backseat Action room as in a Bonnie.. ever tried having sex in a back of a Civic, or a Supra ?? Now if those imports made an ejection seat so I can pump out any passengers that drives me nuts.. then I'd might consider it.. then that'* like asking for a Warp engine too..

Here'* a question.. if hypothetically that law passes.. how much money would it take to get ( in Canada.. not in the states ) one of them imports to be up to par with a bonnie without forkin way way over the bonnie price or the time and hassle that goes into it.. not to mention the hassle from the cops, insurance, emission testing.. the R/C Nitro Car whine...

As you will see in my listing of cars owned..I indeed owned a 1988 Toyota Celica GT 5-speed and it was the fastest import on the market of that time....went like snot!
Bought it brand new...and ya know...its was freegan RED! not only do I not list this vehicle and it was a damn good car! I think here that we are truly in love with our GM vehicles.....(not only did I work for GM for 10 yrs...i still am a faithful car man) GM has the very best vehicles to date, anyone want to dispute that...please feel free....I don't argue that there are fine inports out there...but I don't live in Japan or China...I live in North America.....the best damn auto'* available on the market today! ...after all......who inveneted the automobile? the zipperheads? nooooo...
Henry Freegan Ford and all the rest who made driving an automobile a possibility...
