Mom and i got a call last night around 1030 or so that my uncle has had a massive heart attack, he is in his 50'* and is a trucker and just got in from being on the road. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital in the town with which they live where they found out it wasnt a heart attack but heart failure due to liquid surrounding his heart and in his lungs, a touch of pneumonia, and emphasima(sp). He was sedated and put on a ventilator and from their he was airlifted from baptist hospital new albany MS to baptist hospital Oxford MS where he is still in ICU sedated and paralyzed from the sedation in order to keep the ventilator tube in. He has fluid build up also in his lungs but his color has returned and they may be able to take the ventilator out today at some point, we are awaiting hearing from the dr. we have been gone since 11 last night and oxford is about 2 hours from here, we spent the night in the ICU waiting room and came home for a change of clothes and a shower and some pertinent neccesities and we will be back on the road shortly. Please keep him and us as well in your prayers. He still is not out of the wood yet, we do not know what is going to happen from here, but he can hear us and does respond by hand squeezes when asked questions. This is just such an all of a sudden thing, its taken our whole family by suprise. Thank you all in advance cause i know you all will be here for us, just like always

Thanks guys. He is still in CCU with the ventilator in him and a IV feeding tube. they are trying to get his energy up before they take the tubes out cause prolly first thing in the morning they are going to do a heart cath. He did also have a mild heart attack but he is responsive still to what people are saying. My cousins got in from chicago last night and are having a hard time dealing with this, as well as the rest of us BUT everyones thoughts and prayers are definetly showing cause he is starting to show slight improvment.
