Planning on a trip
Planning on taking mom'* taurus <'93 with a 3.8> to carlsbad, nm <210 ish miles away>, and may have to do some night driving. she did want to get an alignment before any major trips, and i plan to do this for her. but i was wondering too, the car only gets 20-25 mpg on the highway and 15 in town. people with the same car claim 18/30 with a heavy foot <my mom slouches around noteably>. so, should i replace o2 sensors in this car to get best fuel mileage <$45x2>, or just foot the gas bill? also, the head lights are dangerously clouded. they put out so little light that they are being overdriven at 35 mph, and the high beams have no effect <yes they work, but yet they dont help any>. do i get the head lights buffed, or get something a little on the brighter side? thoughts guys?

You should get one of those Flitz things 4 the lights. You could use it for other stuff, too after you clean the lights. About the gas, I dunno. I'd leave it.

I wouldn't worry about the gas mileage.....you'd be fine.
The headlamps, do it right and just get them buffed.
