Pics from last weekend.
I took some pics with my new 85mm lens last weekend. My site was down for a while, so I couldn't share them. I wanted to show what that thing could produce. It'* a wonderful piece of glass.

Looks like I'm going to have to wait too :(
I'm thinking about getting a wider angle lens for my old-school Minolta. The default 50mm is just a little much. Looked at some 28-80mm lenses, need some $$$ though. Best thing is, if I do scrounge up enough money and get a Minolta 7D, the lenses will interchange - even though the cameras will have been built at least 20 years apart
What I do like about my current lens is that it goes all the way down to f/1.7, something that a 28-80 won't be able to do, from what I've seen. Good for those shallow depth of field shots or lower-light situations where I don't wanna use my flash unit, which, coincidentally, isn't working very properly, it overheats and won't work after a few flashes

try that
I learned some of my stuff from a grade 11 photography course I took (ie, developing film and prints from scratch), but a lot (ie, the lens stuff) I picked up on my own.
