people are INSANE!
today i had to drive an expedition for over an hour to test the navigation system, it was awful, it is beyond my comprehension as to why people would want these things, much less an excursion, ive pulle dthem in and out of the shop plenty of times but havent driven on the roads before and i gotta say it was like commanding a drunken elephant. it is so high up and it felt like it was fall over at every turn and knowing that is based on a pickup truck frame, i would expect the roof would collapse in a rollover. and the brakes were awful, cant expect 8000 pounds to stop very fast. and the visibility os awful, from the drivers perspective it doesnt even look like it fits inside the lane. i did not feel safe for a moment in that thing. i think people get a false sense of security in them because the soft suspension and high stance makes you feel detached from the road, but i hated the feeling of lack of control and no feel of the road.
