onstar hack ?
I was just wondering if anyone here has attempted this? I have found alot of info where people have soldered a plug to the onstar hardware to be able to use the gps parts with their carputers. I'm thinking of doing this since I'm about to upgrade my home system. I know you can buy GPS setups for about what it would cost to do this but I did allready pay for a bunch onstar stuff I dont even use.
just google onstar hack and you find bunches of info

The theory is there - it depends on the format of the GPS data that is coming form the unit. To be able to use it on your laptop, it would need to be NEMA
