i clicked on a bonneville ebay link and this came up...

im sure the auction will be pulled soon, but still.. scary.. think of all those ppl that have nfc what they are doing

apparently, just clicking on the link, not even putting my CC information in.. made me vulnerable.

my account was hacked that night, and was just able to get in today after a 30 min chat and phone call session with ebay..

what a mess

i had the same problem the other day... My account was compromised and they changed my password and everything so I had to start all over.... but I did not type my CC informaion or anything like that I just X'ed out of the page not thinking about it and I got a e-mail a few days later saying my account had been compromised and I needed to reset my password..

There'* no security lock in the lower right hand corner either.

What number did you call to get in touch with an eBay rep? I find that the MOST challenging thing about using eBay....email and live chat aren't always a viable option.

i waited 12 min in live chat for a rep... we chatted about it, and then he needed to confirm something over the phone, so he called from 1-866-317-3229

however, you cant get anywhere from that number... you must do everything online

Your account didn't get hacked. Your information got stolen. That website uploaded a trojan or a keylogger of some sort onto your computer most likely...

I suppose I can't say that is exactly what happened, but that has been my experience with the method. Even if you don't enter any information, they still pull passwords, etc with that ****.
