Default Imus in the Morning cancelled permanently

What a load of BS. As most of us know, this all happened because of this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ui1jPNDWArM (18+, "offensive" material)
You know, some people need to lighten up. To me, this is just what a "shock jock" is all about. As a listener of Stern, Opie and Anthony and Imus in the Morning, this is just something that happens. If you're offended by it, don't listen to it. Freedom of speech, does it even exist anymore? *sigh* Off to Canada, I guess

Freedom of speech does exist but only under certain circumstances.

I think he took it too far. There'* a reason why shock jocks like Stern are only on satalite radio. This guy isn't.

He did take it too far. That was a direct blow towards people of african american descent, and he deserved to get fired.

Like Trace Adkins said in his song...

Excuse me
First amendment?
Son, the first amendment protects you from the government
Not from me
You can say whatever you want to out there
You come within reach of me
I'll exercise my right to give you a good ol' country *** whoopin'
Is what I'll do for you
By God
The government didn't fire him. Listeners complaining and sponsorins pulling their money did...

NBC exercised their "freedom of choice" by firing his racist ***.

Anyone that earns his living by using a public medium like radio, should not use the medium to spout off whatever the f*** he wants.

Then I read about his supporters claiming "freedom of speech", wtf, what he said was downright wrong and totally offensive. Shock radio is a load of crap anyway. Freedom of speech is not carte blanche to say whatever you want. Especially in public....

i'm glad he got fired. I have not listened to one good show from any of those "Shock Jocks". It'* all crap and they think that the title Shock Jock allows them freedoms to say whatever.

Now maybe they'll actually put something on worth listening to.

I'm failing to see what this guy said to create such a ruckus. The only thing I can see is when the other guy tossed out "jibaboo", which is waaay old timey slang. Not right, but not as bad as others. As for nappy headed, doesn't nappy hair mean unkempt? That is in no way is racist. And ho'*, I'll let you figure that one out.

This is blown way out of proportion, cause a few people want some airtime.
