Only prescribed meds take care of my migraines. I get mine from stress. Not all stress just certain stress. This is something that was passed down from my grandmother to my father to me and also to my son. Why couldn't it be the family silver or something better - less painful. 
I get migranes at least once a week but I'm lucky enough that excedrin takes care of them.. If I didn't have that I would be lying on the floor of a dark room with a cold rag on my face..
