Default windows server 2003 (midterm question for class)

I have my midterm tomorrow and here are the tasks I have to complete:
Some of the following tasks will be done in a virtual machine

Create a domain controller

configure DNS - properly set tcp/ip settings on your virtual server

Setup a SUS server

apply a gpo to the domain for sus server to perform updates

join workstation to domain

make a share on the server to access accross the network

remote desktop into your server

run MBSA to analyze computer
the only parts I do not really have any idea on what I'm doing, is how to setup a SUS server and how to apply a group policy object for the SUS server to perform the updates. can anybody help? :( (this is all done in a lab where each student has two computers, a server, and a client. )

do a search for "best practice" on microsofts main site. This will give you a list of best practices to follow installing most of their products.
