The 4L60-E is a good trans... Its attached to Many different engines throughout GM'* Line..
The Majority will last through 150k or better... And 200+ is not uncommon...
Generally I think the 4T60-E and the 4T65-E last just about as long..
The 700R4'*( 4T60 ) had some issues... The 4L60-E got better...

Yeah... I will admit my case is special. I just can't believe 2-3 is already starting to slip at 80k miles. Well, whatever, I got a new tranny going in soon... Maybe once I get that in I'll want to keep it...

the 4L60E is a good trans, its pretty reliable and shouldnt have troubles with the 3800, i have one in my blazer and so far no troubles after 118k. the 4L60E is pretty much a electronically controlled 700r4 and those were pretty reliable also. as long as there is no sign of slipping or alot of wear, it should be fine
