OC Spray
AKA Pepper Spray
My final training was today at the amusement park, and it was collapsable baton and pepper spray. To qualify with the pepper spray, we had to take a shot of it in the face as the final step before certification. From four feet away pepper foam was applied to me. 10% spray, which is about 2 million SHU (hot wings at QSL are 156k SHU, so go figure) and that aint no joke yall. Its two hours later and my face is still burning. My eyes are a little better. Once we got sprayed we had to fight off an attacker for 10 seconds, then get drowsed in water. I was able to breath ok, but it felt like concrete was poured in my eyes because it was almost impossible to open them, especially trying to fight off the attacker. I got home, took a shower and it all started again since the water opened the pours up on my face. Its finally starting to calm down a little, but that **** is fo real. Im glad the training is over with and can start walking the "beat" in two weeks. That is an experience I will never ever forget!!!!

I definitely feel YOUR pain. I had to go through it for the prison system when I was an officer. Not something I would want to go through again.
Dawn dish detergent works to kill the burn. Milk works well too.

Oh man, that sucks. I was watching an episode of American Chopper (great show) and the manager guy, I forget his name, had to take a shot of pepper spray to the face. It was humorous to watch.

Yea, I saw that episode. Keith was his name. I think they used the misty or stream which they went from the chest to the face. This foam I got hit with stayed on your face like bird ****, till you got hoased off. They ran out of the 5% training spray, so they used the 10% regular use on us. What a day
