I *think* he likes it....
I stopped at one of the local off-sale liquer facilities about 2 weeks ago and bought a 750ML bottle of Crown Royal Special Reserve. Got home and took a quick glass of it because this is my favorite hard.
My dad saw it and asked what it was. I told him it was one of the best Whiskey'* anyone could buy around here. Before he took any (he didn't that night) he was talking about how it could never be as good as Canadian Club -which I've had more than a few times before.
After I'd had my tall shot, on the rocks, I put it in the liquer cabinet.
One thing I didn't tell him was how much I spent.
Tonight I felt like having a good size glass of it with a friend who was over discussing his cabinet making business with me (I've been helping him out when I can manage time to). When I opened the liquer cabinet door I saw the Crown bottle sitting right up front -with about 1 shot left.
Oh, well, I'm convinced I won dad over to Crown Royal Special Reserve -until he goes to buy one and see'* the price.
Oh, well, I'll just have to buy another -at least I got the Crown Royal bag (I have smaller Crown Royal bag from a 375ML bottle and it worked perfect haning from the Bonneville shift lever as a cupholder for bottles of Soda and juice).

I'm a huge Jack fan. Particularly, Jack Daniels Gentleman Jack. Very smooth stuff. Little pricey, but my whiskey of choice. The double charcoal-mellow process is matched by nothing else.
Bushmills is a nice Irish whiskey that I like, too.
