Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

Ok so another odd question... Revving the motor?

Eh, just do it.

Yeah, my car too.. step on it, bam redline. Done it twice, not cool. I hate it when people rev the **** out of their engine off-load. They are so cool . If you want to be cool, go light up your tires or something.

I do it all the time, but there is a difference between revving your engine up to 2500RPM and keeping it there with .01% throttle to warm up the engine then giving WOT and bring up to redline. If you rev your engine out of gear, do it for mechanical purposes. Not just to show off or whatever. Doing the one exhaust clip is cool, but then be done with it.

Because we all know blowing your trans up is so much better than blowing the engine up. I don't know where you got the idea that lighting up the tires is cool, but heres a news flash for you....ITS NOT!

Not to mention stress on other driveline parts, ie, differentials, driveshafts, etc etc...

I understand that your exhaust mods are far more extensive than mine, but after 3500 or so the exhaust note seems sorta flat...AKA, not that special.

Mine is loudest around 2.5k-3k.. but you really can't hear it if you are driving. It'* all engine noise.

Lighting up the tires is no cooler than revving your engine out of gear. If you are stupid enough to rev the hell out of your engine, then you deserve to blow up your trans from lighting up the tires.
