i have been staring at my computer for several hours listening to the same two songs for 4 hours.

a local band is searching for a new vocalist, and being a pretty big fan of the group i figured what the hell. i'll give it a shot. i've done vocals in a few bands before (many years ago) and really did enjoy it. they've got a pair of songs on their page that have no lyrics.

i figured i'd send them a tape with a few songs on it. and sent them a message asking for a copy of the lyrics to the songs, and i'd send them a tape with my vocals alone and with their music, to see what they think.

here'* where it sucks. apparently the old vocalist wrote the lyrics...and is the only one who knows them. they told me that they are starting over lyricly and i pretty much have freedom with lyrics.

what a blessed curse! what better way to impress somebody than to put your words in their mouth. i'd love to be a part of it, even if it is just temporary, but the whole try out with your own lyrics is really freaking me out.

they are a young band with the raw talent. i really think they have the potental to go far once they find the right people and really get comfortable with themselves. i'd just like to leave a fingerprint on their sucsess, as it were.

i need to vent a little. feel free to comment or ignore. i prefur comments... but whatever.
