The funny thing IS, it really doesn't matter. Duh. If a natural born American Citizen has a child on foreign soil, they are legally considered a "natural" citizen". The thing now is that if he falsely submitted a forged birth certificate, that would be an impeachable offense. Would Obama or his Handlers have risked that? I doubt it.

Not by strict interpretation of the Constitution, but and Amendment 14 gives Congress the authority to enact laws regarding this and according to:
Sec. 301 (a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, the act in effect at the time of Barack Obama'* birth, the following shall be nationals and citizens of the United States at birth:

(7) "a person born outside the geographical limits of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is an alien, and the other a citizen of the United States who, prior to the birth of such person, was physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for a period or periods totaling not less than ten years, at least five of which were after attaining the age of fourteen years: Provided that any periods of honorable service in the Armed Forces of the United States by such citizen parent may be included in computing the physical presence requirements of this paragraph."

I don't believe in the birthers at all, but I hope to God if they're right, that nobody finds out.

Didn't catch the fact she was only 18 when she had him against the 5+14 clause. Given his dad was in College in Hawaii and then to Harvard for his Masters before they tossed him back to Kenya in 1964, I don't really believe the birther'* conspiracy either. Interesting read about his Dad being blackballed (no pun intended) by the Harvard elite who prompted the INS to not extended his visa. He only lacked one thesis from getting the Masters. Seem'* they didn't like having a black person with a white wife and not divorced from his first Kenyan wife a earning a Harvard degree.

Eh, nobody is perfect. Especially since he had no choice in how his childhood played out.

Him and Bill CLinton have so much in common. Poor stepchildren who suddenly burst into the public political scene. You never heard of them while they were getting those Ivy League educations that nobody can explain how they afforded. or on their way up as they secured places in the political machine with nice houses and such. Both went from 0 to everything and nobody questions how they got to where they did.

Both went from 0 to everything and nobody questions how they got to where they did.
The government will gladly give anyone a student loan if they agree to it. By the time I'm able to repay mine, the interest will put a new wing on the Capitol.
