Tearing down a L67 block
I decided I'm taking this block in for scrap. Need the room. So I decided to pull the pistons, might be able to find a home for them. I'm also scrapping the heads. Not like anyone wants heads from a 97. Got to use my new spring compressor.

Worked nice, but has it'* own problems.
Now on to the block. When I got this the guy said it had a knock. I just wanted the parts. So I start with #3, it was the first one that I could get at the bolts. I took off the cap and what do I find?

That don't look right.
Here'* a few more pictures. I think I found the cause of the knock.

Whoo! Reminds me of the time I spun a bearing. TWICE!
Uh, shouldn't this be in General Dan?
