Well for the second night in a row the fireworks here have been canceled.
The first night they were canceled for "technical difficulty'*" and tonight they were canceled because of Sever Thunderstorms, and hail.
Lets see if the third try is the charm.

I say that we just cancel the fireworks all together, and save the ones we didn't use this year and just light them off with next years fireworks, and that way we can have a doubly huge show

Our fireworks here were lame. But I didn't see them from one of the "designated viewing area because I didn't want to deal with traffic. They sent them off over the lake and I guess they were to music so they might have been cooler if I would have seen them the "right" way.
I agree, save them for next year and have on kick a$$ show.

Daytona Beach didn't get ANY. The barge was positioned out off the beach, ready to go. But along came a wave...fairly big at that. Turned the barge on its side, and all the fireworks got washed overboard.

Too bad most cities don't buy the fireworks. They hire a crew to do the show, so they take their leftovers with them.

I have no idea how the local fireworks were. I didn't want to deal with traffic, and I had enough from the nimrods next door while I was trying to chill out and grill some brats...

well good news they finally got them launched tonight.

Read in the paper that the "technical difficulties" they had was actually the controller they brought decided to malfunction, and they "forgot" to bring a back-up

But at least they got them launched and it was a good show.
