the guy that first told me to buy a 3800 car (owns company making custom cummins diesel parts) is doing that with his beefed up dodge ram. Has 100 gallon tank in the back.

That concept has been floating around for years, and it will work safely as long as you start and stop the truck on diesel.

Also, supposidily if you used the oil that say Mcdonalds cooked their fries in, your exhaust sould smell like the fries

if you can get ahold of a old cummins dodge it is set up for it allrerddy the mechanical pump trucks will run it with out any mods just have to keep the vegi oil hot by puting a heater hose curcut in the oil tank it is harder to get the computer controled cummins to run it but it can be done

It is a cool idea, remember hearing about a guy who modifies VWs to run on that.

I've seen a bio-diesel setup before, seems like a lot of work. My dads friend does it, he runs it in his cummins in his ram, its an old 12 valve noisy dodge. You have to buy the kit for refining the oil (like $3k) and additives like lie to eat the fat in the grease. He said it ends up costing roughly $0.70 a gallon.

Rob, you're right, his exhaust smells like a Fry Daddy

running oil and BIO are 2 different things bio has to be processed whereas oil is just filtered oil a lot of filtering is done running bio is a good thing and all diesels can run B-100 it just gels allot sooner than Dino diesel and strait oil will do it as well but the oil needs to be heated before use no mater what temp so that is better for the diesel start setup

you start and stop on regular diesel till your engine creates enough heat to heat the veggie oil with the hearer coolant it then becomes viscous enough to flow correctly for the injection system
