Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

Nice little surprise...

Default Nice little surprise...

I went to get me a nice little drink of milk, only to find out it is 6 inches from being bad, even though it is dated as fresh until today. Not only that, it wasn't very cold. Out came the IR thermometer, and found 53* in the fridge, 24* in the freezer. Well into both danger zones. I hadn't checked the thermostat on the fridge since wintertime. Needless to say, an adjustment was in order, and inside/outside thermometer is going in the fridge/freezer for monitoring.

Goes to show, if you haven't checked the temps in your fridge lately, you should.

I've got a display on the outside of the door. Hard to miss.
