I think you have to find out which ports the game is using then open those up in your router. Router is the same as a firewall only you cant turn it off. I have a dlink and have to use aweb bowser to access the settings.

Technically a router is not a firewall, all of the consumer router'* just happen to have hardware firewalls in them. And yes, you need to find out what ports WC3 uses and then foward those ports to the pc doing the hosting.

Warcraft III:
Allow port 6112 TCP out and allow established sessions in
> This should be a default setting for the linksys

Allow port 6112 TCP in (hosting custom games)
> forward prot 6112 to the ip of the hosting machine

Allow port 6113-6119 TCP out and in (hosting custom games if you’ve changed the default port in the Options/Gameplay screen)
> forward 6113-6119 to the ip of the hosting machine

Bring up a browser, go to 192.168.1.1 and put in admin for the password (leave the username blank, unless you have changed the password). Go to the advance tab and then to forwarding. On the host machine find out the ip address by going to a command prompt and typing ipconfig. Forward the above ports to this ip and apply.
