I'm diggin the valve spring compressor.

On Chris'* car...find out if he bought the CompCam springs right when they moved to Mexico. I've never heard of 105'* lasting only a certain period of time. That'* not something anyone on any of the forums says. CompCam Mexico production are known to break. I don't think LS6'* are recommended on the XP cam. I'd stick to new Crowe Cam 105'*. To make working on a W body easier try these tricks.

1. Undo both dogbones at engine and put the bolt for the passenger one in the next hole back.
2. Undo both dogbones and have a couple buddies push the car forward. Lock the ebrake on when the car is all the way forward.

W body guys think they have it good until they peek under the hood of a 92-99 Bonneville.

Seems very sturdy. What I like is I can remove the top handle and replace it with a bolt if there'* not enough room.

I won't say who told him this, but you know him. He did his build about 3 years ago. I was talking to another friend and he said he had heard about a bad batch getting out about that time.

Verified the source of the bad spring info via pm. Don't believe the information, those springs are most likely one of the bad Mexico batches from CompCams. Suggest he pick up the Crowe 105'*. ... Info like that makes it tough to buy parts from that vendor. They'll tell you anything to keep from admitting they sold you a piece of junk,,,,abd that'* only if you are lucky enough that they answer the phone once they have your money.

I really like the propane one. My tired ole lungs just can't take the kerosene any longer. I rather save them for "quality time"

I had to on the spring compressor. It looks much easier than the old turn style. Only problem is..if there'* enough W body room to use it. Seems all I work on these days.
