And that'* just the US average. Markets with supply problems (upper Midwest US) or more stringent pollution regulations (California) typically see much higher prices. California already routinely pays $3.40 or more.

Where is your personal breaking point?

I would have to say that I am gonna go to work regardless of what the prices are. So I voted $5, but it would probabally be more like $5.50 for us premium pumpers. I think the average is based on regular prices not premium. I think it is time to get a bike and pedal my a$$ around when it hits $7 a gallon.

That'* what people said when it hit $2.50 a gallon, too. Still tons of traffic on the road.

It won't change my driving habits much since there'* not much I can do about how much I drive. But, we will have to cut back in other areas.

It passed my threshold at $2/gallon. But whaddya gonna do? They got us over the proverbial barrel (pun intended) and they're stickin' it to us. We ain't a-likin' it, but we'* a-takin' it.

Yup. The only thing you can really do is making adjustments in other areas of your life. Not as much out to lunch. Less beer, etc. If you think about it, I'm sure there are plenty of areas we could take from to make up for this.
