Wow. Last I was logged on was around noon, come back at midnight and I needed a towel to mop up all the spit and tears from this thread.

I had just reached CBN(last week, I don't remember didnt have a big impact on my life ) and now I learn that after a year of being a dedicated member I finally reached CBN(if I recall correctly it was increased from 1000 to 1200 posts). But you know what, I could care less about what some letters under my screen name say, I just enjoy interacting with other Bonneville owners via this site.

I could turn this post into personal attacks towards both complainers and staff but I think maintaining a little dignity and respect for others comes before MY personal opinions.
As for the new ranks, I will stand behind the staff'* decision, it needed to be done.

I'd like to reiderate something here, that not a lot of people know about. This isn't willwren'* site at all. He doesn't even have total access to some things. This is Jeff Keacher'* site, he'* a college student, who only a few BC users have met in person, and his dream.

And that'* why Don and I (and all the rest of the staff) do our damndest to keep it right, no matter how difficult it is. This is Jeff'* house. Not ours. He tasked us with a responsibility that grows in enormity each day.

And this is why Jeff'* rank changed, as well. He doesn't know it yet. We figured he needed some recognition for who he really is, and what he'* done.

Nobody noticed that one, either, did they?

I met Jeff at the Spring MN meet. Really cool guy. As were all the members there, regardless of rank...

Prime opportunity to bring up another point. The staff here is very unique as a group. Regardless of the Administrator rank, Don and I consult with the Moderators on this forum on nearly every issue. This is very rare in the world of internet forums. One of the main reasons for this is because of the way Jeff set this place up. We've tried to continue with the respect, trust, and traditions that he originally put in place.

The way the Staff and members work, and work together, is what sets this forum apart from others. Mutual respect, and YES, even admiration. There will come a time when Jeff isn't so busy (and he'* looking forward to it). When that time comes, I'd like to think we did a good job keeping this place as close to what he wanted as possible.

I don't take the responsibility he gave me, or the trust he has in me lightly.

How can they moderate if they aren't involved?

I am thinking about this from llast night like you worked at a big company for 20 years and your a manager there next thing you have someone five you a pink slip with no benefits or if a youngetr person gets promoted over you and you know the whole system. Thats something to fuss about. Not this site. Whos getting paid to be on here? My point is it doesn't mean anything. No if the site just vanished I see but its still here and we get some more ranks, let it be. YOU'LL GET OVER IT!
