Default Barbeque Season.....share your ideas.

Well now that the ice is off the lake and the barbeques are out what do you guys like to b-que?
My fav is shikabobs (sp), prawns with cubes of moose meat wrapped in bacon with pinapple tidbits.
Tonite we had steak marinated in Italian salad dressing that was great and tinfoil wrapped mushrooms, the Italian dressing made the steak zesty and very tender
A couple of years ago my cousin (from Texas) cooked us a brisket but I forgot the rules on how to get this monster started but I remember it was awesome

Steaks. Big, fat, steaks... No sauce. Just meat.

Also, chicken with Famous Dave'* sauce, pork loins are good on the grill, and when theres lot of mouths to feed, that standard. Brats, burgers, dogs....

I just like playing with fire.....

Here in MS they like to bbq Pork tenderloin or Boston butt. My friends have an annual cooking contest and all they guys bring their grills and secret marinade and spend all day cooking and then when all is done we have a big picnic and judge who is the winner. As a matter of fact it is coming up on Memorial Day.

What is Famous Daves sauce?....Who.... dave?....Daves not here

I like to use Bulls Eye 'hot southern cajun' when I Q salmon, sometimes I just use white wine and lemon juice though (beer day vs wine day?)

Thats the thing there are no cook offs up here......could use one though
