I go to lunch, and come back there'* a new LCD monitor on my desk!

The company is finally moving up to the late 20th century!!

I still got a big box on my desk. They call it a 17" monitor...I call it sad.

I think it'* just a 17", just like the old CRT. But now, the whole screen looks like the center is bowed in.

Switching to a flat scree without expecting it can mess with the old eye bubbles....

a good lcd is nice on the eyes..i have a hard time looking at a CRT all day

You can focus a CRT. It does involve removing the cover, of course, and it'* kinda dangerous in there. But there should be a few... we'll call 'em adjusters (I believe they are potentiometers/variable resistors) You'll have probably 3 for color, one each for vertical and horizontal, and one for focus.

Worst part is, they are not marked. But if you feel like trying, just carefully reach back there, adjust them a tiny bit while watching the display, and you'll figure them out.
